A shared love of sport

There’s a lot that fits into a college day. Classes. Practice. A table full of teammates at dinner. Unpaid Athlete comes from that life, and a love of sport that stays with you beyond the season.

In season

Where it goes.

From the end of practice to the last hour in the library.

Our beginnings

Started between practices.

Unpaid Athlete was started by three Division III athletes in Clinton, New York.

We wanted to make clothes that felt like the life we share: time in class, time with our teams, and a little of each carried into everything else.

The Hoodie.

Washed midnight navy with a relaxed fit and dropped shoulders. An easy layer for cold mornings, the walk to practice, and the rest of the day.

Our interlocking UA, embroidered in warm ivory on the left chest. A small mark with a familiar collegiate feel.

For the love of it.

Rackets, sticks, an oar, and the rest of the kit, brought together in one hand-drawn graphic. Different sports. A shared reason to play.

The build

Made to live in.

A substantial hood, a roomy front pocket, and ribbed cuffs. Designed to be the layer you keep by the door all winter.
